When it comes to investing, Fidelity International thinks outside the square.
Understanding Australian companies in a global context
Around 30% of the earnings of Australia's largest listed companies are sourced overseas*.
Our global network of analysts gives us the advantage when assessing the business models and earnings outlooks for Australian companies with international operations. To understand how this process works, click on the image below to view a case study.
Bottom-up research driven stock-picking
Detailed 'first hand' research is at the core of all our decision making. The analysis of Australian stocks is carried out by one team based across Sydney, Hong Kong and London. They exchange their findings with colleagues in Europe, Japan, and Asia Pacific.
We also have access to the analysis carried out by our affiliate, Fidelity Management and Research LLC in the US. Together, we have more than 900 investment professionals** around the world, covering around 95% of the world's stocks by market value.
Targeting stocks that deliver cash flow, good management and competitive advantages
Our Australian Equities Fund is built from the bottom up, stock by stock, taking account of market trends but not being driven by them. The fund is not biased towards a particular value or growth style or any particular market capitalisation.
The Fund usually holds 30 to 50 stocks, providing diversification while allowing for excess returns from good stock selection. The Fund's top 10 holdings usually comprise about 50% of the total portfolio.
