The outcome

At the board level, the company confirmed it was seeking to appoint a third female director at its 2022 AGM, which took the company to 33% board diversity.  At the senior leadership level, the CEO sees the setting of targets in CEO-1 and CEO-2 levels as a key component to improve positive culture change and attract more women to the workforce. While at this point he didn’t commit to joining 40:40 Vision there was the intention of considering this.

At the employee level, the CEO highlighted that it is seeking to manage labour shortage issues in Australia by seeking to attract women to a traditionally male-dominated sector. The strategy involves a partnership with a women’s truck driving school, as well as a flexible working arrangement to accommodate caring responsibilities.
